Ikenna Ugwu (Okougwuujam Nwangene) served as a Liaison Officer at the Judicial Affairs Office of American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, from 2018 to 2020. During this period, he engaged in several humanitarian services such as championing the Ethical Bowl Competitions aimed at promoting civil conduct and behaviour as well as outreaches to the victims of Bokoharam attacks in the Northern Nigeria via Rotary International, Due Advocates, and National Anticorruption Group platforms.

Ikenna is currently carrying out research with the REVIVE Campaign as part of his MSc programme in Human Rights and Diplomacy at the University of Stirling run in partnership with the United Nations (UN) Institute of Training and Research (UNITAR). The project will investigate what forms and level of victims’ assistance are being delivered to victims of explosive violence in Yemen, Iraq, Libya and Nigeria. Concomitantly, a comparatively studies on the prevailing situation in Afghanistan will be inculcated into the project.
